Chicago's Cakegirls is always my go-to source for wedding confection inspiration. Their work never ceases to amaze! Sisters Brenda and Mary Maher are the immensely-talented designers behind the Roscoe Village cake studio; the siblings have been baking together since they were children, starting with their Easy-Bake Ovens. We've published many weddings in Brides Chicago that have featured Cakegirls confections. I'm currently in love this this cheerful hand-painted number, embellished with a black-and-white striped bow fashioned from fondant—it's such a modern take on your traditional floral wedding cake. —Heather Lee, Editor, Brides Chicago
