A proposal she'll never forget
While President Obama was reciting the oath of office, Kit Crawford made his own promise to long-time girlfriend Megan Kilgas. He promised to love her for the rest of their lives.
At first Megan didn't believe he was really proposing, but as President Obama was began his Inauguration Speech the groom-to-be slipped an engagement ring on her finger.
After the proposal—and the rest of the Inauguration speeches—the newly engaged couple celebrated their engagement at a local restaurant with friends.
The happy couple plan on getting married in 2010 when Crawford's father, a member of the National Guard, returns from Afghanistan.
