Let's face it: Cupcakes are kind of been-there-done-that, but who cares? Everyone loves the diminutive treats—they're pretty much a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Especially these adorable ones from Leda's Bake Shop, in Sherman Oaks. Mini-cupcakes are their specialty, but the bakery also offers full-size as well as vegan versions, in addition to cookies, bars, and tea cakes; cupcake flavors include passion fruit, red velvet, coconut lime, dulce de leche, and espresso. I am so sick of cupcakes. You can dress them up, you can make the cute, but they're still cupcakes. The next cupcake I see at a wedding will be thrown-- think about it, they're the perfect size and shape to lob across the table.
