Down on the farm

If you're looking for a venue with a rustic yet elegant feel, look no further than The Barn at Gibbet Hill, located about an hour outside of Boston in Groton. The Barn itself was built in 1906, and is the definition of country chic, with a wooden interior accented with chandeliers. The Barn has huge windows and a covered porch where you can look out onto Gibbet Hill Farm—and maybe even spot some grazing Black Angus cattle! Plus, the grounds are absolutely breathtaking, perfect for some incredible wedding photos. The capacity of The Barn is 220, and the Gibbet Hill Grill, a restaurant on the premises, is a great option for rehearsal dinners—the mezzanine level can accommodate up to 40 people. Visit The Barn at Gibbet Hill's website for more information.—Kim Forrest, Assistant Editor, Brides.com Magazines
