    Pretty purse

A purse isn't just a purse when it's the one you'll carry on your wedding day. There are lots of requirements—it has to be small enough so as not to be cumbersome, but big enough to pack all of your essentials (lipstick, tissues, breath mints, etc.), and it can't be too difficult to carry. I recently came across Virginia-based Laura Lee Designs' Bridal Bag at the most recent bridal market in New York, and thought it definitely fit the bill. It's covered in beautiful beading, and is available with either silver or gold accents. It's just the right size, and it's easy to carry—either use the wrist strap or wear it as a clutch. And I just love the little interior pockets that say "Old," "New," "Borrowed," "Blue." In case you're not actually wearing your "Something's," (like your grandmother's handkerchief), you can still keep it with you in the purse. Visit Laura Lee Designs' website for more information.—Kim Forrest, Assistant Editor, Brides Local Magazines

Wedding Wisdom: Having a bridesmaid be a designated "purse minder" can be a big help. Select one bridesmaid to have your purse at hand in case you need to touch-up your makeup or get a bit sniffly.
