    Pearls with a twist

    There's something so traditionally bridal about a strand of pearls. I love how Trish Thackston Designs, based in Alexandria, Va., has updated the simple pearl necklace in her bridal collection. The aptly-named "Pearl Opulence" necklace contains over 150 freshwater pearls and would look just lovely with a simple strapless gown. Also check out the "Colette" collection with twists on the standard pearl earring. Trish's jewelry also makes great bridesmaid gifts.
