Get in shape

Courtesy of The Medical Spa at Nova
Getting in fighting shape for your wedding day is all about staying motivated—and sticking to a schedule. Sure it's tough (staying in and watching that "America's Next Top Model" marathon might sound much more appealing) but The Medical Spa at Nova in Ashburn, Va. has devised the "Beautiful Bride" package to help. The package gets brides-to-be moving and eating right by creating a personalized nutrition and workout plan. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that there's a bit of a spa pampering involved, too.
The 12-week program includes consultations with a dietician to design a personalized meal plan, twice-weekly hour-long sessions with a personal trainer, and yes, a hydrotherapy massage, along with discounts on other spa treatments like facials, waxing and microdermabrasion. Visit novamedspa.com for more details. —Kim Forrest, Assistant Editor, Brides Local Magazines
Wedding Wisdom: Enlist a friend to be your workout buddy and keep you on track. Set weekly appointments to meet at the gym or even just for a run around the neighborhood—if someone else is relying on you to show up for a workout, you're much more likely to make it happen.
